6 Years Ago.....

Six Years ago this past Sunday ....November 22nd.... Kevin and I were married in Kauai...It was a beautiful day. Kevin went golfing I enjoyed the beach and we had a sunset ceremony. No stress, just joy of the journey that was beginning!
Here are some photos of our wedding video....On the TV as we snuggled!
It doesn't seem possible it has been six years....Time has brought us many joys, experiences, and new adventures...!
I told Kevin on our anniversary that I still get excited when the door opens and he is home from work! He is handsome, fun and caring! I thank God every day for the blessing of Kevin, an amazing husband and friend! I love him more with each experience we go through. He is a strong husband, and wonderful Daddy to our girls.
As the years pass by, as quick as they do, it is important to reflect on the joys of the journey. As the minister said at our wedding.... It is about the journey! We wrote our vows and instead of "until death do us part"...We said,"As we journey through life together" It is a journey of ups, downs, joys and struggles, but at the end of the day, what really matters is that you are with the one that you love!
How did we celebrate??? Earlier in the week we had a K&K dinner out and bought a new mattress...(Yes, there is some humor here) Then on Sunday, We made dinner, an watched out wedding video, which is a tradition. We snuggled up with the girls on the couch and enjoyed the video....Tess of course had some comments:
"Wow, Mommy you look Pretty"
"Will you take me there some time?"
"Mommy, what id your shoes look like, (No surprise on this question!)
"Lets all snuggle, Dis is our Family"...
It was a wonderful way to celebrate!
Happy Anniversary Kevin! I Love You....EVERYDAY!

Costume Change....and another...and another....

Like every good performer should do....Tess has a remarkable ability to change her clothes really fast and find a creative outfit in no time flat..."No stylist" needed for this little one! It makes me tired watching her sometimes! Ella is not quite sure what to think when she watches Tess, often times she stares, then lets out a clap or giggle....It is entertaining to say the least!
The water cups below are the "drinks for her friends" after she was running around and dancing, what will she think of next?? Your guess is as good as any!

3 Gorgeous Girls and 1 Handsome Little Man!

A photo of a recent enjoyable evening with kiddos!
We had a wonderful time!
We had dinner, the kiddos were able to talk Kevin into some cookies (that wasn't tough) and there were many smiles to be shared! The simplicity of a easy evening with friends...Priceless!

Some Numbers for the Day!

I was thinking today of some numbers in our today that brought some smiles to my day....
6-The average number of outfits Tess puts one each day....Could be more on a really busy day! She comes up with some interesting ones!
4- The number of imaginary friends that are living in our house these days...."Ada", "Shocka", "Berona""Teela"...Tess played ball with them last night, I was amazed at her creativity and the fun she had...She said Shocka was her brother...(a brother sure would be a "shocka" - My Mom quoted this one)
2- The number of Binkys we have...Where do they disappear to? We will be buying more really soon!
5- How many of us that were snuggling during story time tonight before the girls went to bed (Zion the dog is the 5th....she thinks she is 10 lbs....but she is 70 lbs.)
15- The number of my 27 students that made the honor roll today when I passed out report cards, they were so excited and so was their teacher!
7- The number of days until my favorite holiday!! I Love Thanksgiving and having our family at our home!
10- The time when I am going to bed tonight, I am tired and the last one up...Time for a good nights rest!
Last but not least....
3- The number of loved ones that are sound asleep in this home right now...I am so thankful, God is so Giving!

A new hair product ....Brought to you by Tessa!

Tessa has an Fabulous imagination....She plays store, house, school and beauty parlor....She says, "Mommy lets play hair shop then have a holiday" -when asked to define holiday it is in Tessa's Terms...."When you get all ready, dress up pretty and dance???" it is hard to say where she picks up her lingo!
During a recent "hair shop event" she decided that the baby ointment, similar to Vaseline, would make a great hair gel....Great, that is if your are going for the slicked back, greasy look, (Reaaly should have taken a picture!)....

It made her hair shine, and shine, and shine, finally on day two and after washing it Numerous times, we went to a "home remedy" my Mom had heard of ....Baby Powder... It worked! Tess thought it was so funny that she had "gray" hair!

As I have said before, never a dull moment here, it keeps up on our toes!

SO Glad for the help!

It has been a tough two weeks for this Momma....But thanks to My Momma, Pain Injections and Many others that I love, things are getting "back" to normal. I will see the Back doctor on Tuesday to find out the results of my MRI and to find out the plan of action to better "back" days! I am optimistic...although it was tough to be so at times. I am not a complainer (in my opinion anyhow :) but that back pain got the best of me and then some. Now, I just want to figure out the root of the problem and see what can be done to help! I am a firm believer in the "power of positive thinking" Here are some realizations or reinforcements that I have had in the last two weeks: -It is so hard as a Wife and Mommy to not be able to be "Yourself" and do what you are used to being able to do, it made me truly appreciate the ability to do the simplest of tasks -Kevin and the Girls hugs are great medicine! -No matter how old you are, you still need your Momma,...and I am so blessed that she is able to come and stay and help in SO many ways! God gave me Amazing Parents, I thank him everyday for my family! -My family & friends must Really Love me, because I was unable to do much of anything during my painful days and there they were, with No hesitation wanting to help, it REALLY helped so much! -I work in a wonderful place, with caring coworkers, friends, and students! -A good doctor you trust is priceless, I have seen many the last two weeks, having one you trust makes all the difference! -Most of all, God is Good and regardless of the challenges we face, He is there!

Flower Power!

I think the fresh flowers can amazing power to bring joy to one's Day! Now that the Mums have seen better days and most the leaves are down for winter.
Tess helped me to fill some tiny vases I received for my birthday and she helped to place them around the house, she was so excited! A perk of fresh flowers add tremendous joy to the household! Along with some beautiful smiles from two special Little Girls!!

Our New Dishwasher...

We got a new dishwasher recently....It is the nicest one I have ever seen, in fact, I think the new brand will be tough to beat....It even comes in a trendy purple color!
It comes equipped with one sock, a cute dress and a smile that will melt your heart! I recommend every household to check this out! But ours is staying right here for many years to come, this dishwasher is a great compliment to her sister product the laundry folder :) ....

It was a happy one....

Thank you to my amazing family, a wonderful homecooked meal, and feeling very loved! I had a Happy 31st Birthday! I learn more with each passing year! Most importantly with each birthday, I am thankful for the many blessing that life has to hold, especially what I call the "Big Three"....Faith, Family and Friends!!! As I am learning Health (especially with my still unanswered back problems...MRI this week) is something to value everyday and to Never go a day without saying prayers of the blessing of a healthy day! Thank you family and friends for the Birthday wishes and for all you do ALL year long!!

Our Toes are Singing!

We Really Like Flip Flops at our house!!! Good Bye Flip Flops see you in the spring....
But.....We LOVE Uggs at our house!!
Our toes are singing the happy sings of fall....We have all officially worn our Uggs this fall. My "relationship" with my Uggs began with my first pair four years ago. Jamie told me that my feet would be thanking me for the comfort, I was pregnant with Tess at the time. She was so right (she knows me so well!) Since then our kiddos enjoy them (and enjoy sharing them to save some money) and even our Hubbys enjoy the comfort!
So here's to the joys of a comfy pair of jeans, a warm cozy sweater and our feet enjoying a day in our Uggs! Isn't fall grand!!!

Oh My Aching Back!!

I am being reminded very clearly, over the course of the last few days that: Normal days are GRAND! I have not had one in a few days because my back has been hurting, A Lot! Kevin thought he married a younger woman, but the past few days I am showing signs of being 80 years old. I walk hunched over, except for an occasional spasm, which takes me to bending over the counter ...frozen. As Tessa says "Not Good Mom". I truly feel for others with back problems now that I am "feeling their pain". I have been to the chiropractor, taken medication and relaxed....with "some" relieve. The pain feels like a contraction of child birth, but with less break in between! But, the power of positive thinking, my chiropractor, and Bob Marley are telling me... "Don't worry about a thing, every little thing gonna' be alright" (But of course not soon enough for this Momma!) The toughest part about this episode is that I can't be my normal "wife/mother Self" I have to rely on others to do the simplest of tasks....Frustrating!!! I am truly thankful for my amazing support system to help me out, swallowing my pride, I must say help! For now, I shall do what is best....Rest! Better back days are coming, I am looking forward to them for sure!
