"Sledding in to 2011"

2011 Here we Come!
Our year has been full of numerous blessings. We are thankful for the simplicity of each day and the blessings that the days bring. We are enjoying the Little Things, for one day we will look back and realize that they were the Big Things! God is so good, All the time!

Cousin Time...

It was a Holly Jolly Time at our house over Christmas break. We were so thankful to have dinner and a bunches of fun when the cousins came over. Jenny, Aunt Nancy and the kiddos came over and look at the little joys in our house. They all played so well together. It was a obvious reminder that cousins and their little ones are so special, and further more that we need to do this more often.
I have many fond memories of playing at Aunt Nancy's house with Christy and Jenny. It was entertaining and sweet to see the next generation at play just like we used to. I wish Grandma Virgie and Grandpa Roman could have lived to see it. They may just have been looking down on us! Looking forward to the next get together already!

"Wigging" Out....

It was a fun play time at Mimi's house, it always it. We enjoyed the time at the Winter Wonderland!
Put together 2 Four year olds, 1 one year old, 1 two year old, and four adults....it is bound to be a good time. We had some muffins, coffee and many laughs! The kiddos certainly keep it lively to say the least! I am not totally certain who the wig belongs to??? I will jsut leave that one to the imagination :)
Look at the fun that we had....
We TRIED to get a picture of all of them....good luck with that! He, He...

Gamma and Pops!

Thank you Gamma and Pops for a special visit and an enjoyable Christmas! We relaxed and had a fun time as always. Our dinner was extra special because the girls had both their Grandmas and Pops here for supper. Tessa was her usually helper self in the kitchen. She loves to set the table and help clean up. Tessa's favorite gift from Gamma and Pops was her twin dolls, she had been asking for a baby brother, she got one, and a sister to go with it! Ella was most excited about her simple yet enjoyable broom and mop, her stroller and dump truck rank up there as well! Thankful as always for family times!

Two Year Check Up!

Ella had her two year check up and all is well...such a blessing! Ella also had the support of her big sister. Tessa was SO helpful! She wanted to be sure the Ella was not due for a shot, and if she was Tessa wanted to wait in the hall so she did not have to "See Ella Upset, because that upsets me Mommy." Ella weighed in at 28 pounds, and she is predicted to be nearly 6 foot tall.... our big girl! Ella was a good patient! It is hard to believe that it was already her two year check up! We love our girls! The highlight was the my little pony stickers and lollipops, the joys of the doctor!

The Tooth Fairy has arrived!

We had a MAJOR Milestone our house....Tessa lost her first tooth! We knew it was wiggly. We were at our friends Fred and Cheri's for Christmas coffee time and she said "I got my tooth out" just like that! Her brown eyes were just sparkling, adding even more excitement to Christmas day! Tessa used my tooth fairy pillow. When she woke up she could hardly stand it, she was sooo excited! The highlight was not the money, but the glitter that was left on the pillow, she is such a big girl!

Grown Up Time....

We enjoyed some grown up time with our friends Matt and Jamie before Christmas this year! We had a CALM dinner, which we all enjoyed the laid back joy of that! Then we went to hear a band, we saw a WIDE variety of people and laughed a lot! While we always enjoy the time with the kiddos, a grown up time together is always a joy! Good friends are a true treasure!

The Museum was Dino-Mite!

We had a "Dino"-Mite time at the Children's Museum. Gramma and Pops took us to the museum for the afternoon. We had a roaring good time. We started off spending some time in the Barbie exhibit.... The girls strutted down the runway and had a great time dressing up all the Barbie dolls on display.
The Winter Wonderland was fun for the girls. They were able to play in a "Snow Castle", ice fish, ice skate on some really neat pretend ice and, see how tall a polar bear is.
By far, the surprising highlight of the day for the girls was the the Dinosaur Exhibit. I certainly predicted a quick visit to this area, however, this Momma was wrong about that! They were not scared at the life like exhibit, fully equipped with roars, a pretend rain storm, and an archaeological dig. Ella kept saying "Dino!", then she would giggle! It is really an awesome place. It was an afternoon of the girls being busy taking it all in at the museum. We are already looking forward to our next visit. Daddy will have to come along. Tessa said, "I can't wait to show this to Daddy, he will love it!"
