I want Daddy to go....

Tessa and Daddy went on a field trip!  As much as I wanted to go, she chose Daddy to join her.  Such a special time for them.  I am so thankful that he was able to join her.  She wanted them to have similar outfits and could hardly wait to go and pick out a pumpkin with him, special Daddy - Daughter Moments....That I wish I would be a silent observer of.... Precious moments!

We Love Bugs!

Fall is such a special and enjoyable time of the year.  There is so much of God's Awesomeness....all around!  The fields, trees, evening sky..... We also appreciate the joys our small town has to offer.
Our Little Buggies....had a fabulous time at the Town Harvest Celebration while gathered around the tremendous pumpkin tree in the town square.

Tessa helped me to make Ella's bee body. She wore a costume Dad had made for me several years ago, and it held up for the night! The girls were buzzing around the house before we left, they made up a song "I am a ladybug, a ladybug.... I am a honeybee, a honeybee...and I am so busy!"  Ella told me "I am a bee Mommy so I get to eat flowers!" They were so excited!  We enjoyed some trick or treating and our little buggies were able to walk around with some of their handsome "M&M" friends. It was great to visit with our friends Brooke and Bart and the little kiddos.  While the weather was a bit chilly, we enjoyed the evening to the fullest.  Happy Harvest!

Tennis....

Tessa really enjoyed her first ever round of tennis lessons. She was often asking "is it tennis day yet?"! ...can I wear my tennis skirt today! When she is out on the court she looks so young, and yet, she looks so much older.... I know that she will try many different activities, and it is a joy to see her paying attention to her coach and wanting to do so well.  We are so proud of her, no matter what activities and sports she decides to go with, it is my prayer that we are able to find balance in it all.... wanting her to be involved and yet being grounded enough to appreciate it for the joy and the fun of it all.  Feeling so blessed that she is able to be who she is and have such a fun time learning a new game!

Art galore!

 Recipe for Art Fun...
Start with some crafty kiddos, add some messy art supplies of your choice, sprinkle with some glitter glue, allow as much time as needed.  Enjoy the adorable art projects that come out of the art time.

Our girls LOVE art time.  There is always an interest in getting out the art supplies and getting creative.  I am often amazed at the attention span of both Tessa and Ella when they are able to create!  The messier the better.  There are times that we have a project in mind, but some of the most enjoyable moments are when I let them "be free" to make whatever comes to mind!

Date Night!

Tessa had a date with Daddy! I was so excited for her!  They went to the hockey game!  She came home telling all the details of the fun, the game, the cheers, the goodies they ate, and the "Special Time Hanging Out with My Daddy!"  They brought Ella a shirt home, and she "I wanna go sometime with you!".... Such a blessing and memories of special times with Daddy!  I love it when the four of us are together, but there is certainly a special time for Daddy and daughter time, Mommy and Daughter time, and Kevin and Kim Time.

Grandparents Day!

"What children need most are the essentials that Grandparents can provide in abundance. They give unconditional love, kindness, patience, humor, comfort, lessons in life, and most importantly, cookies."~Rudolph Giulliani

It was an enjoyable Grandparents Day Breakfast and Craft Time for Tessa!  We are so thankful they could be there to be with her, they are such a blessing in our lives....everyday!

A Journey....

Grandma, Tessa, Ella & Aunt Becky! ...being silly!  Such fabulous ladies that we love!
Road trip to Illinois....the girls did great! They can really travel,!Staying in the hotel so much fun to them, (and us as well).  Family time!  The highlights were seeing family, swimming, and watching the girls have shear joy while they were able to eat cookies in the car, then watch Dino Dan on the iPad.  Daddy is the best about bring on the fun!

The mmemorial service was for Aunt Marilyn and I am so glad that the girls have fond memories of her, and they remember her talking about the days when she was a ballroom dancer.  Tessa says, "I wonder if she will dance in heaven", I you think so she probably will....

Our smiling Girls!

Happy Birthday Mom!

Today is my Mom's Birthday....I fell so blessed by her everyday....by what she has and continues to teach me, and for the gift of her constant presence in my life.  It is my prayer that I can come close to being the Mommy to the girls that Mom has been, and continues to be to me.  She is a source of strength, love, care, and kindess that I am uncontidtionally thankful for....Happy Birthday Mom...and Many More, Love You!

Family Reunion

The Next generation.....  We enjoyed the family reunion with my Mom's side of the family. An enjoyable time to visit, play games, bring the kiddos together and to enjoy some home cooked food from the family.  I always enjoy the Polish recipes from the family, the noodles are fabulous.  I always enjoy the day, and it reminds me of my Grandpa Roman and Grandma Virgie...and all the special times we shared, they were very special people to all of us, and I know that they would be happy that we still get together, even if it is not as often as we wish.  It is our way of carrying the value of family on after they have gone, and we still miss them!

First Field Trip....Ever!

Tessa enjoyed her first field trip ever with school...and Grandma!  I was so excited for her to go to the fire station.  Her Great-Grandfather and Great-Great Grandfather were both firemen.  We were thankful that Gamma Marilyn was able to come to town to join her on her trip!  It was interesting to hear that her first concern of the day was the lack of seat belts on the bus.  I suppose it was one of those moments when she is learning that all things are not the same, her thoughts of safety were impressive.

Tessa is growing up before our eyes and learning more and more about the World around her.  We are trying to find the parent balance, in protecting her, yet letting her discover things as well.  I know in my heart that this is going to be ongoing in our journey as parents.  Many prayer and confidence that she is in HIS hands, helps in this journey!

It was enjoyable to hear her tell about the day and all that she had learned.  She wanted to make sure our family decides on a meeting place if there is a fire.  That afternoon, she was able to see some of her learning first hand.  The neighbors barn caught fire and there were 4 fire stations represented on our street to put it out.  The windy day negatively contributed to the blaze.  Luckily, no people or animals were hurt.  Tessa's first thought, "we should take them some cookies"....so we made some and did just that (such a giving little one)!
